Corporate support

We rely on companies to help us with gifts of money and donations of products, equipment and time.

We particularly welcome company employee involvement, both as volunteers and ambassadors for our work. Companies benefit from this partnership through increased disability awareness training for staff, meeting the demands of the Disability Discrimination Act.

Funding is always needed to:

Our operational plan for one year costs £100,000 to support the 15 regions and the volunteers around the UK.  Within that year 20,000 disabled people will get out on the water which works out at £5 per sailor. Without the enthusiasm and willingness of the army of volunteers around the country, affiliated to accredited RYA Sailability, this great achievement would not be possible.  Developing a new RYA Sailability group starts at a cost of £50,000 to buy boats, essential safety equipment, install ramps, hoists and jetties and train volunteers. Sponsorship is recognised on site, on sails and in RYA Sailability publicity. We are also able to offer a package of  employee involvement and disability awareness training for your staff.

As the 2012  Paralympic Games approaches the charity would like to offer support to the promising sailors hoping to be selected.  To fund a high performance sailor costs between £20,000 and £25,000 and offers your company great publicity at boat shows, regattas and all RYA Sailability events.  Your support could lead to great honours in 2012!

The Annual Review 06/07 highlights much of the work carried out last year with an introduction from HRH The Princess Royal, president of RYA Sailability, along with sailor's success stories, reports on fundraising events, awards and regattas. A detailed summary of financial activities shows incoming resources and how the money raised is spent.
