Volunteers for fundraising events and boat shows

RYA Sailability exhibits at boat shows through out the year at London in January, Alexandra Palace in March, Southampton in September and Earls Court in November. These shows present great opportunities to raise awareness of RYA Sailability. We need two volunteers every day of the shows to man the stands, talk to visitors and give advice on RYA Sailability. Can you help?

We need volunteers to help coordinate other events throughout the year as well. Contact donate@ryasailability.org to find out more

Volunteer at one of the RYA Sailability groups

You don’t need to have sailing experience – everyone has a role to play whether it is helping with transport, maintaining boats, becoming a training instructor or making the tea. Clubs are pleased to help with training, from fitting buoyancy aids to helping disabled sailors on and off boats, using winches and the hoist. Several non-sailing members help out with land-based tasks and activities, offering people encouragement and an essential helping hand.

Find your nearest sailing club with an RYA Sailability group to see if they need your help.

Open the 'You can make it Happen' pdf to find out how several volunteers have made a real difference to clubs and the charity.
